thanks... It's 2:10 am and I'm still doing tank maintenance and watching thousands of new animals hatch in my sump. I guess maybe my wife was right and I am totally addicted

I wonder what these things in my sump are??? the look like tiny tanslucent guppies, very fast. I have to say they aren't copepods since they dont have the "curled" stern

I tried to add more today but that didnt work out...

but seriously folks, I did add a few things(cap, pink birdsnest and yellow coris wrasse) but for the most part its the same tank you've seen, just with different "rockscaping"

Hey a new sighting... I was doing my nightly spot light viewing when I focused in on the movement near the sand. Theres a mass of the baby mysis shrimp I saw in the sump. There everywhere!!! I mean tens of thousands!!! the entire sandbed is covered. The snails are being bombarded... they look like fly's around cows

too cool!!! I have no idea why I lost my mandarin goby... theres no way he starved though!!!

Well kat... my fuge has been running now for about a month so that is probably allowing them the live without predators. I'd also say that the LS I got from Todd was chock full o' goodies. I have some type of new snail too, actually theres lots of new stuff, but these look like nassarius snails (the small black variety) but they are very small & white. They only come out at night and they fight one another violently with their "trunks". Also there seems to be a much larger number of all types of "night only" snails. Maybe I just have spent more time looking lately but there sure seems to a huge surge in life

I plan to add a bomb of pods to my tank when i leave the 1st, hopefully when i come back it will be flooded with pods and other critters..
