Make sure you line up several people to call in the even of a problem so that someone is available to help if someone else is unavailable. Just talk to me at the meeting.

Bring us back a bunch of purple tangs. They're supposed to be cheap over there. How many Tunze can you get in your backpack?

Reef69
Mon, 16th May 2005, 08:44 PM
LOL, i was thinking about Tunze myself, probably quite a few, im taking 2 backpacks..

smelleybrad
Mon, 16th May 2005, 09:07 PM
The Tunze's are NOT cheaper in Germany. As a matter of fact the fish aren't either.

Suggestion: Get a couple of fellow MAASTards to come over and become familiar with your systems. That way your GFs questions will be easier to understand ;)

What part of town are you in? I am NW (Tezel Mainland area).

Hey Guys--
Im Krystynn, Diego's Girlfriend(Reef69) and I am just wanting to introduce myself to all of you. Im not looking forward to him being gone for so long, and all the "pressure" I will have during that time making sure that I am doing everything ok. I have taken care of his tanks for about a week, and things have been good. But this time I am needing to do a tad bit of extra work. So I am trying ask as many questions as I can right now to him.
I have read the other posts all of you have written and thanks for wanting to be so helpful. That means a lot to someone who does not have as much experience. Anyways, thank ya'll for all your help. Hopefully I will be just fine. :)

Man, when I read this I thought you were leaving us for good. Good to hear it is only for a month! If I was a little closer, I would be able to help out as well. Oh well, I know there are a lot of great reefers in the SA area so I know you will be in good hands.

Have fun Diego and definately take a lot of pictures. You will be trapesing though my homeland (only three generations removed) and I would love to see some pictures. Hopefully some day soon I too will get to visit my homeland of Germany, Scotland and Ireland. Have fun.

Wow, that's interesting! That's my heritage also...Scottish (MacLeod) mostly, then German (Ehrlich), and some Irish (Casey). Maiden name is Wallis...LOL...even though it's spelled differently, I'd like to think that William Wallace's blood is running somewhere in my veins. I even have an OLD kilt from our originating clan.

What an awesome trip that is going to be...getting to see so many places! I know a month seems like a long time, but you will be so busy having fun, that it will go by in a flash. How many people are you going with? Need a few more? :innocent :skeezy LOL

Wed, 18th May 2005, 01:10 PM
Yeah, time difference is a bi*ch... i hate jet lag, you are all zombie like all day, you eat when you are not supposed to..i hate it, im going to be drinking alot of coffee to stay awake..it usually takes 2-3 days to get used to the time change..

Thunderkat
Wed, 18th May 2005, 02:54 PM
One of the tricks I have learned to get used to a new time zone or drastic change in schedule is to just jump into it. It sounds too easy of a solution until you try it.

Eat at the appropriate meal times and no other time and go to bed at night time. When you get there you might want to sleep when you are tired even though the sun is out. Trust me, I may not know much about fish but it has worked while in the military. Makes the transition quicker but a little bit more painful.

Tue, 31st May 2005, 09:34 AM
Ok, well, I leave tomorrow :cry ...Ill try to chek MAAST as often as possible. Ive been doing water changes and water testing and all that good stuff these past 2 days, i want to make sure everything's fine before i leave, today im going to mix some saltwater so Krystynn doesnt have to do it next water change. Its going to be hard since im addicted to MAAST..lol...but anyways, thanks ALOT to the peeps that offered help if K bumps into a problem or a question, it really means alot to me. ;) ..Well, see yall next month..hopefully the spurs will make it, lol, im taking my jersey with me..LOL..take care yall..Im out!!
