iwaki pumps

Do iwaki pumps run hot to the touch. The metal part of the pump is pritty hot... Is this normal??? :blink

Mine has pretty much. Had it for 3 yrs...and never had a problem with it. But it has always been a bit warm to the touch.

I just added one to my skimmer and it is hot to the touch ...
