I just got home from a long saturday at work. I was feeding and adjusting the ball valve on my return when I saw my Nudi shoot out of my loc-line. He had one hell-o-a trip down the pipe, into the sump, through the baffles and past the 3600gph pump and out the manifold and appears to be no worse for the wear

that truly is one tough nudi

he seems to really like flotaing so I doubt hes going to be able to keep up the lucky streak... I'm hoping he's learned his lesson

Could it have been on the output line and just got shot off?

I actually saw it shoot out of the line... the little scpaecowboy has been "jumping" all over the tank for 3 days (since i got him) He will detach from the glass or a rock and drift until he hits something. My guess is he didnt hit anything, unless you count the sump ;)

I've given up on lettuce nudis myself...they just aren't capable of surviving in most tanks IMHO. They're beautiful animals, but I could never keep mine out of the plumbing.

he'll find his way into those PH's pretty soon I'd imagine. If he does that will be the end of his luck

Last week after only a few days in the tank, one of the seahorses made it past the overflow. Put a screen on it. Following day, I couldn't find the other horse. She got past the screen, including a couple baffles, three elbows, the hard turn in a t, a semi closed valve into the sump. Happily hitched to the heater when I found her.

She's just fine. Makes Finding Nemo not all that far fetched.

No kidding, pods and even a nudibranch is one thing. Ain't no seahorse surviving a pump. Not sure the Mag 5 would even survive.
