The wife has a 12g Nano Cube, recently converted to FW (hold comments please ;) )
Anyway, it has a 24W PC light that has stopped working. The PC flashes continuousy like it is trying to start. Bought a new bulb, same thing - So I assume the ballast is shot?
Anybody know where I can get a replacement, or something else that will fit under the hood?
Thx - Steve

Yeah, the ballasts on the OG nano cubes suck and go out all the time.

have you tried contacting jbjlighting on sending you a replacement ballast? how old is the tank? ive heard of jbj sending out replacement ballast, its worth a shot..also try nanotuners.com im sure chris could hook you up with a replacement...you could retro fit a 70w de halide under that hood but add extra computer fans to keep it cool and prevent a melt down..theres a thread on nano-reef.com that goes through a step by step processes on retro fitting the 12g NC with a 70w halide..i hope some of this helps

You might have a look at ahsupply.com. They specialize in PC lighting, and I think they have a nice nano set up that's a retrofit.

I have a ballast for a nanocube you can have if you can wait till the meeting, or con someone into picking it up for you this weekend.

How can I pass up that offer! What can I pay you for it?
It can probably wait until the meeting. If someone is making a SA-Austin run, let me know?
Thanks Mike :D
