What autotopoff is available for a 10 gallon reef aquarium? I was thinking Liter Meter III & a bucket of kalk water?

I just made a couple of autodosers from Ice tea jugs that should work well for a tank that size.

I looked up the Liter Meter III and it seems to be a great item with many features including the ability to add additional pump with dosing capabilities and a water change module. Unfortunately the price tag seems to be a bit steep at $340.00 when considering that it will be a topoff for a 10 gallon aquarium only. The Liter Meter III can be viewed here: http://www.saltcorner.com/sections/reviews/productreviews/litermiterIII/1024frameset.htm

All in all thats a heck of a doser and I wish you luck in your search!

LOL @ GaryP with his ice-tea autodoser. Gary are those top of the line ice-tea jugs?

Actually if you are for real, give us more details (or where to find details) on making this auto doser. Is it pump driven or does it use the drip method?

I took would like a inexpensive (see: dirt cheap) auto top off that is pump driven but I do not know the first thing when it comes to electrics. Most people that make pump driven auto top off; splice pumps, extention cords, and God knows what else together to make a functioning contraption.

Thanks

I think my high dollar DIY outdoser cost me about $4. Its gravity fed.

gravity is still the most reliable pump there is!!!

Yea, but I hate it when my artifical gravity generator fails, don't you? All the water from my tank goes up into that gallon jug.
