Marked as read or not

I am not getting any change in the icons after reading post even if I mark it as read or even mark all topics read. The icons are also a mix of the old and new. Am I the only one?

Sounds like your problem is the exact opposite of mine - I'll have them showing as "read" even though I haven't seen them. Haven't had many problems with it today though. Do you get kicked off the site if you leave a screen idle for awhile (like 5 min. or so)? I'd be curious to see how many people have that issue also.... :unsure

I know Chris is hard at work to iron out all the little "bugs", and I'm sure the more FB he gets, the easier it will be to pinpoint the problems. Anybody else?

I have cleaned my cache and refreshed the browser several times after and the post are still showing as new even though I just read them.

I have come back to the pc after being away for a bit and have had to sign back in. Im not sure if its the site or my connection though.

Edit I just restarted the pc and the icons are marked correctly so far, but still the old style.

Pete - what are you considering the old style icons? I think Chris changed them back to the diamond shaped one with the newly posted threads having the orange icons. I figured he did this to make them more visable again. I do have the problem where threads are not showing as read like they used to even though I already went to that forum

Exactly .... they are the diamond shape icons.

Nothing has really changed on the site lately aside from graphically. Keep up with the input though, it will help in discovering what's causing the problems. :)

What browser are you using (~pete~ and CD)? I am using Mozilla Firefox and the only thing I had to do was refresh the screen to get all of the icons to display correctly. Also I found that if you keep your browser open for a very long time, it gets confused on the date time stamp and won't show the thread as having been read, even on refresh. I would quit out of the browser and restart and it would then work correctly.

I have the same issues with any site using the PHP2bb forum... I just restart the computer and it usually fixes it. If not then I have to clear cache and manually delete my cookies then reboot, but thats rare

P.S. I've noticed that I never have this problem until after I use the "mark all topics/threads as read" button
