Hi, a couple of us will be ordering aquarium ready LumenArc III's this next week.

These pendants are large at 19 3/4" x 19 3/4" or a new "mini" that is 14" x 14".

The large/original size was rated by Sanjay Joshi as the best pendant on the market for % of light reflected and best dispersion in to tank.

He lights the entire Penn State 500g sps tank with just 4 of these pendants burning 400 bulbs.

They are $175.00 each for a pendant, rails for glass shield, glass, reflective venting holes, mogul socket, adjustable socket, and 15' cord.

There is a pretty good discount off the $175 when we reach 10 ordered and another drop if we hit 20 ordered. We are already at 9 that will be ordered.

The price does not include freight and this will be broken down per pendant. Everyone will pay independantly on for their pendants and we'll have people pay back their freight amount before picking up their pendants.

Please pm me if you are interested.

The website is www.pacificgardensupply.com and they are the LumenArcIII pendants. The price on line is for the pendant set up just for hydroponics with a ballast.

ONLY CHARTER MEMBERS WILL BE ABLE TO TAG ON. SO IF YOU'VE PUT THIS OFF, NOW'S THE TIME TO ANTE UP THE 25 BONES! :o

Thanks,

Todd

One question asked.

The "Mini" is still 14" x 14" and about 7-8" tall. It is a SE or Mogul socket type still. You could run 250 or 400se bulbs. The adjustable sockets on these pendants stick out a few inches beyond the "side lengths" listed.

Those reflectors really did test way better than anything else on Sanjay's test.

Just curious why this is a charter member only deal? Is MAAST anyway in volved with this(other than being posted on the board)?

It seems like there is alot of "charter members only" talk going around, just wondering why this is?

I think that site only works with WebTV. LOL

No, this is Todd's group order and it is apparently his decision to only allow charter members to participate. Some feel this is a way to get non-paying web members to join MAAST and it is a way to help benefit those within the group of charter members.

My directory listing is denied as well. The sadness deepens and there is no joy. :cry

WOW, work for a day and the thread takes off!!!

Bingo CapTexas, I feel these clubs repay people 10's of times over with advice etc.

Call me what you want, but it's my group buy and people can use the savings on a reflector to pay their membership.

The "mini" at 14" x 14" is new. It's the same price and has not been tested by Sanjay yet.

If you go to RC there was a whole thread today in the SPS forum intitled "LumenArc
s Rock!" or something like that. Responses from both standard and "mini" owners.

I know several people who cover for sps corals 36" wide or more with one pendant.

Thanks,

Todd

These reflectors are awesome. I have two of them on my 36" wide tank. It really spreads the light. Just make sure you have enough room to mount them.

Pete, who's tank is THAT?!

I'm placing the order tomorrow....WEDNESDAY morning.

Gator, I think I'm backing down to two large pendants. So we are needing 3 others ordered to get the discount. Anyone???

Its from an Italian site ... right click the picture for the properties and you can see the address. There is also a thread on RC in general forum with more pics.

Sweet huh?

I'm only going with two big ones now.

They had it broken down by part on savings. I've asked them to give a total per pendant and freight estimate. Along with a "days from pay to out their door" estimate.
