Hi, looking for a good source in S.A. for the StarBoard that people use when going Bare Bottom on an SPS coral tank.

It's that white high density plastic that companies make cutting boards out of and it has marine(boating) applications I believe.

Thanks,

Todd

Yes, I plan on going BB on the new tank.

I've wanted to on my current set up, but the rocks would have fallen.

Thanks,

Todd

Get it from Regal Plastics on Eisenhower road just off of 35. The call it the technical name because starboard is a brand name. Ask the guy for the white colored cutting board material. I have the name of the stuff written down but it's at work.
BTW, for a 1/4 inch piece 60 x 18 it is going to be around $25. If you don't call them until Monday I can post the actual name of the stuff and who I talked to.

Todd I purchased some from Regal Plastics when I had the 240, but they only had it in white.

If you don't go to Regal, a reputable online store is http://cuttingboardcompany.com

Check under plastic or custom cutting boards.

That is the website where I got mine from. It is a little more expensive there though. So regal carries it then? I will get it the next time I visit San Antonio. It is also good to help local businesses.

Ask for HDPE, this is the cutting board material. They sometimes have it in black also. I got mine from Regal Plastics.

Thanks for the great info people.

I'm sure it's spendy to ship big chunks of this stuff.

I called Regal Plactics and they quoted me 18.85 for a 36"X18" I think that the techincal name is HDPE or somthing like that.

I got the HDPE (high density polyethylene) for a kayaking project... Regal plastics has it at a reasonable price and they are very helpful...

P.S. this stuff will mold fairly easily if that helps any
