I have a cooler unit from a grocery store... its basically the tub you see in the meat dept with the frozen foods out for display. If anyone is going to do a DIY chiller I'll let this go for a very reasonable price. I think it would save a few of the steps you see in the RC post

I was thinking of trying to find one of those lobster tanks. They seem to stay really cold there has to be chiller in ther of some sort.

If I'm not mistaken the lobster tanks have a built in chiller that sets underneath the tank. Someone had one for sale months ago and it looked like a massive chiller for the size tank.

I am sure it is massive the tanks stay very cold just an idea though it might work if you could turn it down.

i saw one of those on ebay several months back, was wondering if it might be worth it just for the chiller. it went for like 300 bucks, and the tank would have made a nice frag tank.

I saw that thread on RC before. Still pretty pricey when you add up everything. Too bad they don't make all a/c units with titanium coils in them! lol

Ebay has everything you need at cheaper prices than listed on that post. Titanium tubing that you can bend yourself and large 1/4hp refrigerator compressors which are better than the window unit type compressors due to lower pressure (I kicked this idea around quite a bit and did lots of talking with a heating/refridgeration company). In theory you can build on for much cheaper than the units you buy but I have never finished my project as fans seem to be working and no more temp problems.
