How do you contain hair algae.......I have a couple of new pieces of coral that have some hair algae on it, should i put it in my tank?

Hair Algae is always present in our tanks. It only explodes when there is an excess of nutrients in the tank and no herbivores to control it.

pull some of it off with your hands if you can. You might just try and place some snails and hermit crabs near it and see if they will eat it.
