I just bought a 37 gallon tank and have just moved all my stuff into it today. (that took forever!!!!!! :wacko :unsure ) I was at a 18 gallon tall before and the return line from my pump created enough water flow for that tank. Now with twice the size, I'm looking for 1 or 2 new powerheads to keep the water flow going.

What's the best powerhead out there to use???

I have heard a lot of good things about the seio and I plan to use one of the seio 1100 when I set up my tank soon. Maxi-Jets 1200 is a good one have used those in the past. I had bad experience with rios personally but I am still going to try the rio seio pumps.(they are like the tunze streams).

Seio 620 may be a good pump for that sized tank. I've never used one but it looks loke a knock off of a tunze stream.

The Seios work very well. I would recommend the Seio over the MaxiJet. MJ is OK but the flow is much more "pinpoint" type flow.
Tunze is better but not a good idea in a tank that small.

For a tank that size.... I love my maxijet 1200s.

I have a two of them in my 30 faltback hex tank.

If you can't afford the Tunze like me right now, then the Seio is the way to go. On a tank that size, a 620 would really surprise you. I have a 1500 on my 135g and it has super flow. I'm going to add another. IMO, I'd use the Seio over Maxijet.

I think a SEIO would work great for that size tank also. Closest thing you are going to get for that nice, wide flow area without spending the price for the Tunze. Although I am now a devoted Tunze fan, I don't think they make anything small enough to work in a 37G...so, yeppers...the SEIO would be the way to go. I would recommend cleaning them about once every two months to keep the flow @ max. performance. ;)

Yeah, woke up this morning and was going to use the hydrometer when ZAPP! got a nice hit of electricity! I couldn't figure out where it was coming from so I started to unplug each device one by one and then low and behold, it was from what I'm calling now a POS Rio 800. It took a few zapps while unplugging other stuff to figure out it was that. :blink So it got disconnected and now I'm probably going to buy from another manufacturer.

Oh, nothing in the tank was floating/dead so I guess it didn't affect them. :innocent

IMO, those Rios are garbage. You will be much happier with the Seio.
We have had Rios stop for no reason whatsoever.

Another SEIO fan here. I have a 620 for my 29 gallon. I am going to get another one, the flow is so nice and gentle, I just love it. You corals and tank will love it too.
