Hey I was at HEB and noticed they had live littleneck clams there. I wonder if these guys would live in a fuge or if they need cooler water than what a reef tank has?

never mind I read that they are from cooler water and dont fare well in a reef tank. I knew it sounded too easy :P

You could feed them to a butterfly though.

my trigger LOVE them...i didn't know butterflies liked them, now i will give them to my racoon also..thx Gary

I kept them for quite a while in my FO tank to help with nitrates as well as food for them. Some will burrow into the sandbed, but some will stay on top. They open a lot like a scallop.

We've got two little clams that hitched in on some corals awhile back. They are doing great in the 'fuge now. :)
