I really like the AquaFX units with the Chloramine blasters, they really perform well. check out the article on www.aquariumwaterfilters.com for info on how the blasters make your DI last longer.

That looks like a pretty good unit, and excellent price.

yeah mine still works great... when you buy it on ebay you can ask for the connections for a sink or for a garden hose. since i don't have a spot in the house to connect mine i just hook it up to the garden hose outside.

Mine is still working great. :lol mine came with a tank for under the sink. I don't have it under the sink :lol . It is sitting on the patio inside an old 55 stand that I use for storage. The tank give me drinking water or water to make better tasting tea or coffee. It doesn't screwup the tea maker anymore. and I have pleny of water for my tank needs.

Is this reverse osmosis system any good??

You'll want to do some replumbing of the sytem once you have a better understanding of how it works.

You'll likely want to remove the post DI carbon stage. Not needed and not helpful in this application.

You'll likely want to get rid of the horizontal, nonrefillable DI in favor of a larger, vertical DI in a clear housing.

You'll want to ask the manufacturer about the chlorine capacity of the carbon block.

You'll want to ask the manufacturer what brand name of membrane is supplied and you'll want to know its nominal rejection rate.

You'll want to know something about the DI resin. IS it mixed bed? Without a color changing feature you'll need to get a tds meter.
