Added a few pictures of my clam tank to my gallery Starting Here (http://www.maast.org/modules.php?set_albumName=NaCl_H2O&id=aat&op=modlo ad&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php) .

Lighting is one 400w MH 14K Hamilton and two 32w PC Actinics. Painted the back of the glass blue (It was darker before the lights :unsure)

Let me know what you think? Too blue???

I like the blue on the clams.

Way too blue for me personally, but dig the crazy aquascaping! Tank has mucho potential. Cool! Id probably swap out the actinic pc's for 10k's or at least 50/50's.

Very nice aquascaping. I really like blue and I think it will bring out the colors of your clams. Is there any clams in there already? What type of clams are you trying to keep?

I think the blue looks great... especially if you paint the other 2 tanks the same way...

Note to self: If they can't see the clams, it might be too blue :roll

Ok, I'm going to try the other extreem - I have a spare 6500K 400w bulb, pictures soon ...

I predict you won't like the 6500K. The purples in your clam will look brown.

I'd go with an XM 10K. My VHO actinics went out this week and I can hardly tell. The XMs have a very nice, broad spectrum that covers most colors.

Starting Here (http://www.maast.org/modules.php?set_albumName=NaCl_H2O&id=aax&op=modlo ad&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php) are pictures with the 6500K installed.

I like it better than the 14K! Its not bad with the actinics and the blue paint reflecting!

Maybe I need to buy another 10K ...?

The reason I couldnt see the clams was because it was sort of far away. I would keep the blue.

Well for now I'm gonna stay with the 65K, I just can't take all that blue from the 14K :blink :blink :blink And the digital camera hates it!

Might try a 10K, but don't have a spare one right now.

Scuba_Steveo - You still want that 14K bulb?

Sorry all you Blue light lovers, I got my 400w 10K Ushio yesterday, and I LOVE IT! Nine new corner/clam tank pictures Starting Here (http://www.maast.org/modules.php?set_albumName=NaCl_H2O&id=abc&op=modlo ad&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php ) with the 10K + Actinic PC lighting.

Now I just need a few more clams ...

BTW - The tank has become a Clams & Anemones tank ... it just happened that way :)
