Well, my tank has passed a leak test, and I'm going to drain it this afternoon, and paint the back. Any ideas of what I can put on the plumbing that I have stubbed out the back of the tank to keep the paint from sticking to it? I"d rather not pull the bulkheads out if I don't have to.
Thanks!

Just use some plastic bags like you get from WalMart or HEB and use masking tape to hold it.

you can also use patroleum jelly... once the paint dries on the glass you can wipe the vasoline right off taking the unwanted paint with it.

I was wondering about that. Will it work with the appliance epoxy paint?

i don't think any thing will stick to jelly. tape would probably be a little cleaner

why paint it? im taking some acrylic and adding that black foam to it. Of course after i cut the acrylic to fit. I know some one who did the same but instead of foam he glue LR rubble to it. it looks great. just some alternative ideas.
