Hello,
Does anybody have any experience with these pumps? I heard good reviews about them before I bought it. Mine is shaking and is bearly giving any flow. I also see a lot of them being in reef central. That leads me to believe that people were not satisfied. Do you all have the same problem or did I just get a bad pump?
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry,
I think maybe you got a bunk pump.
We had 2 that worked great but used one to bribe MikeDel for some help he gave us hauling a tank.
We never had any problems with our 820's unless hooked to a wavemaker (and even then, only 1 of the 2).
Did you buy new or used?

Sorry, I only have one and its not even mine! lol But, from what Ive read, the problem is calcium build up around the ceramic shaft, seems they need frequent cleanig, however, Ive been running the one I have for many months with no cleanings and it runs perfectly. Might wanna dissasemble it and check for worn impeller shaft housings.

I bought mine new from Marine Depot. It is two weeks old, and I was very dissapointed when I discovered this. Even when I first received it, it didnt seem like it was pumping 620 gph. I think it was just my pump that came defective. I will clean it tonight and hopefully it will work better.

I have read that many people are not liking the 620's they say that there is not enough flow out of them. Just what I have read in several forums.

620 flow is not that good but it pulls in a lot of water if you can set it up with out the bottom on the flow is a lot stronger I have one as well it sucks :)

I have 2 820s and they work pretty good. They dont compare to the tunze streams though but for the price they are very good.

don't think anything can compare to the streams though little over price in my opinion but great product.

i've got a 1500 and it works fine for me. i've got a couple more months to season my water for sps so i can't speak to that. but i can tell you my naso loves it. when he's not eating, he's exercising by swimming in front of the SEIO.
For now i'll wait for the 2600's and the ever rumored SEIO wavemaker to come out.

Well, I cleaned my 620 and it is working better than ever. It just so happened that it had a calcium build up. I also played with it a little and now understand why is was not working properly. The SEIO are good pumps, it was just my fault for not reading the manual. I recommend it because it is good for the awesome price.
