Well after having the tank sitting in my living room for about 8 months I finally decided to set it up last Friday and today I finally finished plumbing the tank after about 10 trips to Home Depot and 2 to Alamo Aquatics.

I started filling the tank with tap water to check for any leaks and I must admit I was afraid of a blowout since I had never filled the tank and it is so tall, but after about a half an hour it was full but the bulkhead in my sump was leaking :( , it's on there pretty tight and I don't want to tighten to much since it's an acrylic sump therefore I may put some silicone on it or try a second gasket. It also appears as if my overflows can't handle the Ampmaster wide open, the water started increasing until it was at the very top of the tank. I don't have the ends plumbed into the water, thus that may help abit, but other then that so far so good.

On and I would like to thank Pete for patching up my sump.. You da man Pete.

hey Jose, glad to see u set it up! can't wait for the completion..if u need ANY help let me know...are u setting it up generally like the 375?with connected sumps, if so i had one small problem with the bulkhead leaking, so i ended up siliconing it, and it has never caused any more problems..i don't know about the ampmaster tho...could u possibly add a ball valve and cut it back a little?or add a T or Y and divert some of the water somewhere to be refiltered or something...good luck...again let me know on any help i can give!

Thanks Bobby, regarding the pump, I do have a ball valve before and after the pump and I did cut it back a bit and it seemed to hold stable, but I really need my eductors to come in so that I can finish plumbing it to know how much I will have to cut back. I setup this tank with a single sump since that's how it came, below are some pictures I just took to give you guys an idea.

I must admit I've gotten pretty rusty on setting up tanks.

Glad to see that thing finally go up. Are you planning on making it a large reef or more of an aggresive/Fish only style tank?

You only made 10 trips to Home Depot? You have at least another 10 to go before it is truly finished. :)

Thanks guys, hopefully I'll have some tangs in there before the weekend.

The rock rack saved me alot of money in rock and allowed me to make some big openings for the fish, it was definately worth it.

If I would have made anymore trips I would be sleeping with the dogs :D .

Steve, the clows are happy and staying together. It worked well by introducing the female a few days after the male.

Looks nice Jose. Are you going to stick with mostly a FOWLR this time?

Yeah Mike, it will for the most part be a FOWLR with the exception of some Zoanthids and Mushrooms.

No need to buy anything, just give me a call when you are in the area.

They don't require much lighting therefore my VHO's should be enough for them.

Nice looking tank, but I'm with Blake on the 10 HD trips, you apparently did something horribly wrong!

Nice Tangs ... Wait a minute, do I hear a siren :)

Ok I must confess, the only reason why I got away with only going to HD 10 times was because I have a 30 gallon rubbermaid tub full of PVC fittings from the other gazillion trips to HD and orders from savko. There I admitted it.

Felipe told me that the tang used to belong to smelleybrad.
I'll try to get a better pic tonight.

But here is a picture I found on the net:
