Hello,
I would like to see some full tank shots so I can inspire some people in the valley, and of course to copy your aquascaping :P I have tried to look at some pics in the members gallery but a lot of people that I searhced for did not have any. Looking at pictures was what inspired me to start a reef, so post your pics and inspire some more people.

HA HA, my rocks are all leaning against each other. My sand is not deep so I made sure the rock was stable on the bottom of the tank. It took me hours to set up the rock so they would support each other...they are not going anywhere and it helps with flow. But if I need to moove any rock at the bottom the whole thing has to get set up again. I had a cichlid tank for 3 yrs and used to re-set up my holey rock every few months because I would get tired of staring at the same aquascaping. I got ALOT of practice. I'm proud of my work...but I'm not patting myself on the back or anything :D

Everytime I think our tank is looking fine I see a shot from one of yours and know that i need to spend more money! This is a great post...thanks for starting it...I think i've convinced my wife we "need" to make a trip to the LFS!

Yes that is a toadstool leather that is taking over my tank. It was about the size of my fist when I got it about 4 yrs. ago. Its soon to become about a 1000 baby toadstools after I frag it.

When did a tour of tanks type meeting for the Oct. 2003 meeting in Austin. It was my first MAAST meeting. We might need to think about doing one in SA sometime soon.

yeah, where did you find that tiny sofa and cieling fan?

The real challenge was the tiny pieces of LR, very small coral frags, and those itty-bitty Tangs :D

But worst of all was getting Pete to do the woodwork with tiny bits of balsawood & Elmer's glue ;)

I gotta get some real tanks someday!

Wow, great tanks guys. Having a tank tour was one of the first activities we had in mind for the valley's reef club. That would help us meet a lot of people and get more members. Whenver you guys decide to do this, please post a date here so that I can plan to go. I have only seen one reef tank in person. It was all softies.

Cool. I certainly will. I will be going up there for the next MAAST meeting and I am really looking forward to meet the people I only know through these forums. I would like to see in person the tanks in this forum. ALthough they are great pics, I know that pictures never do a reef tank justice.

The thread is now known as the online tank tour. Join the bandwagon. Pictures of my tank with the lonely clam is coming soon. My clam needs some nice colorful friends to play with. Cant wait till April 10th.

I don't get it. I can take great pics of GaryP. and JimD.'s tanks but mine looks like crap.
Oh well, I will post it anyway since it will be taken down in the next month or so. We can reflect back on that small 75G we used to have.

Your water changes are bigger than most peoples tank volume.

WOw. I love all the purple color in your tank. You have good coraline algae growth. I have pretty good algae growth as well. Do you have a calcium reactor. I just use the B Ionic Calcium and Alkalinity.

Here is the link to the pictures of my tank. I suck at taking pictures, it was my first time. My tank still needs a little bit of work. THe reason I posted my tank was because I want to see it grow. Here is the link:
