Ok for all of you who have been doing this longer than me, I think that qualifies the vast majority of MAAST, I need some guidance in buying lights.

I just upgrade to a 125g, I got soft corals LR, gorgonia trees, one anemonie( nemo's home), sponges and few fish nothing to fancy just nice to look at

and would like to buy a new set of 72' lights, now this is what I would like, low energy consuption, high light out put and little heat out put.
looking for easy explanations not highly complicated book perfect, just as we say in the good old Army, KISS keep it simple soldier, and CHEAP, my wife has put me in a very tight budget and I have 2 jobs, what kind of crap is that i have 2 jobs and she puts me ME in a budget
oooopppsss sorry honey, yes I know the second job is to support my fish habit,,LOL

thanks in advance to all

If you are going to stay with soft corals and not SPS, then go with T5 bulbs.

If you are going to eventually want to add SPS, then go with metal halides and supplement with T5 actinics. I can talk to you about it when I see you tonight Jose'.

I would like to point out, that there are people on reef central with absolutely GORGEOUS tanks full of SPS that are lighting with nothing but T-5's, SPS, LPS, Clams, you name it.
