Hi all,

We are considering becoming a MAAST sponsor and would like to recieve some feedback on whether or not you would be interested in purchasing from us. We are Houston based and specialize in cleanup critters and frags. For more details you can visit our website at http://www.fragsncrabs.com

Right now we have just been serving Houston and have not been shipping our items, but we would like to start doing so and thought that MAAST would be a perfect place to start. We would probably use Lone Star Overnight whenever possible....do you all have any experince using them...we'd like to determine if they are a good carrier within Texas.

Any feedback would be appreciated. We would also offer free shipping on larger group orders. Check out our site and send us a message and let us know if you're interested!

Thanks!

Jim & Lindsey

Jim & Lindsey, your stock & prices look pretty good! I love that huge Glove colony!

Do you have a "Live Guarantee"?

Also, suggest you get a better camera, or photographer ;) , esp. if you ever try to sale colorful specimens.

Customer service and quality (as deliveed) are going to make the difference with MAAST members, but I say give it a try! We are all very interested in supporting MAAST sponsors.

Also, check out the LFS listing from the MAAST home page, they are looking for good suppliers of cleanup critters too!

... too bad I just made a big Reeftopia order for snails, etc. :(

Good luck

Yes, we would give an arrive alive guarantee for those willing to pay for 10:30 a.m. delivery. Lone Star Overnight has pretty reasonable prices. It's cheaper to have them deliver by 3:00 p.m., and we are willing to ship thay way too, but due to the HOT texas weather we would only be able to gaurantee the morning deliveries.

What is the cost with LoneStar for 10:30 delivery on an average size box?

The wholesalers can ship 24-48 hours. Even in the heat you can do it. Add heat packs in the cool months and Ice packs when it is hot. I can help you with shipping and packaging if you need any help. I've shipped all ove rthe country in all weather with very little problem. From Houston to S.A. or Austin should be super simple.

Welcome to MAAST Jim & Lindsey. We have done several group orders for clean up critters through Reeftopia.

Personally I would be interested in ordering from you if we can get the same quality, price, and service as we have received from them in the past. A local supplier is a big plus for me.

A 1 lb box would be $14, a 5 lb box would be $20, a 10 lb box would be $28.

Would you be willing to do a free shipping deal for a large group order? That's what we currently have with Reeftopia.

We can ship next day delivery by 3:00 for about 1/2 of the price we just listed for 10:30 delivery....I guess if we try it and don't run into many problems we could still offer the gaurantee.

Oh yea, WELCOME :)

BTW - do you offer special "lot" pricing ... say we had a group order for 300 Astrias and 300 Blu Leg Hermits?

Looking at your Web Site, how do you handle payments? Any ability to accept Credit/Debit cards or PayPal? Is this strictly over the phone? I didn't notice anything but EMail ordering?

I am assuming that Pete sent you info on sponsorship. If not, please let me know.

If anyone is interested here in Austin, I can put together an order and we can try out the shipping part. That way we can give you feedback. If you put them in the last shipment of the day, usually 5-6pm, they get here before 3 the next day that is less than 24 hours. They will do fine.

Most orders are done through email and payments are done through Paypal. We're still working on the site.....we will need to overhaul it completely once we start shipping. We have a pretty strong following here in Houston, so we don't currently rely on the website as much as we will now need to.

As for lot pricing....that's something else we haven't had to deal with yet. We can definitely come up with something, but we probably wouldn't be able to beat Reeftopia on their blue legs or astreas.....although we can kick their butts on Scarlet hermits and many other items. :D (Reeftopia is really good for bulk astreas and blue legs)

I only glanced at the frags, but the prices look good. (I agree the pictures could be a little better) Being fairly close we might be able to arrange someone to bring them on their way here. I have a buddy that comes in on Saturday mornings...

It would be good to see you as a sponsor. I'll buy something...

hey I'm from MARSH and I can definitely vouch for these guys, (frags&crabs), I buy from them frequently and they always come thru! They have met me in the parking lot of a mall and I picked up the order and drove straight home with my goodies! And they didn't charge me any delivery or shipping charges!!!!!! SWEEEET!

Their prices are good and they're local folks! Can't help but support them!

P.S. and they are really nice people!
