I have a 55g tank and sold new hood, going back with old hood and lighting as no longer have sps in my tank. So now I have one 250W XM 10k halide and two 40w NO actinic tubes but ordered a small VHO ballast today to swap out the NO tubes with VHO. Question is what tubes should I use? Should I go with two actinic VHO along with the MH bulb or could I use one 10K VHO and one actinic VHO? What would be best? Only softies and lps in the tank now and probably for quite some time. Thanks for any suggestions.
