RO Units on Ebay [Archive]

Has anyone ever purchased a unit off of ebay, i'm looking to purchase a unit but nervous. Or does anyone have one at home they no long er need or want for sale or trade?

I bought one off of ebay about 1.5 years ago. I installed it under the kitchen sink. It's worked great for us, and we use it quite a bit because I bought one that does drinking water also (it just sends the filtered water to a tank before the R/O process). I don't have the details and stuff in front of me but if you're interested PM me and I'd be happy to give you all the details in a couple days...

I've bought two of them off of ebay. One for me and one for my in laws, each was from a differenct dealer but both worked fine. I know one of the places was called filtersdirect and I don't remember the other off the top of my head.

the one I got off eBay I think is the same one as Dozer and I got it from airwaterice. Or something like that. Owners name is Walter he sends an e-mail reminding you when it's time to change your filters. Of course he sells the replacement but is a nice customer service thing

Here's another vote for http://www.airwaterice.com. They were great to deal with. I got the home/reef setup, and it's been great. They also have TDS meters at a decent price, if I remember correctly.

I love that the AquaFX Baracuda we recently did a group order on, my water is coming out .02 TDS right now.

I grabbed mine off ebay and I beleive the actual company was filter direct. It is a 6 stage and I paid just over 100. with shipping. It has run perfectly for close to 2 yrs.
