Just came home and found the Nano cube busted on the side and leaking water. I have a 125 that has almost finished cycling but ony have the flouresant lights on it. My 250W mh's don't come in until next Friday. I have a bunch of zoo's and other soft corals and one small hard. Will they be alright for a week until my new lights get here?

They'll be ok. This is not the 1st case of busted Nano cube I've heard of.

What a vinhbot, that sucks! I dont think it woud be all that bad. Nano's are not my best subject there to small. to easy to crash.
Good Luck

I have no idea what cracked it. It was fine before I left. The dog was locked up in her room. It was only a month old. I wonder if there is some sort of warranty with those things?

sorry to hear about your nano...did it break at a seam? How long have you had your 125 cycling? If you were in Austin I'd offer to hold them for you until your lights arrived.

I took my tank back to Aquatic Warehouse today and Tamer switched it out with a new one. No problems.

Anyone else having problems. Be reading a lot on RC and nano-reef that they are having problems with them as well. Cracking after one week some as late a 6 months. I was thinking about gettingone for my office as well.

I dunno, but I hate this thread, especially on a Friday evening! I've a 12g DX sitting on my desk at work, if it cracks there's gonna be hell to pay. I can't imagine stinking up the entire office like that, not to mention if a breaker doesn't trip or something...
That's why I sold mine. I was too worried about something happening to it.

I did not mean to make anyone stay up all night but I was thinking of buying one. Just read here lately. It seems that this is just an isolated cases from about a month or so tanks breaking in the first2 to 3 weeks after setup. I think it is being done during shipping mostly from online stores.
