Guess I worded this wrong what I wanted to know is has anyone had one try and make the great escape? I have not seen any of my non-hermits making the climb to the top of the tank and was curious if I was the only one with an escape artist wannabe.
I bought one and all seemed well then recently I hadn't noticed it around. Didn't think much of it but tonight I look in my sump and there it is. Somehow it got to the top of my tank, (I know not that hard) then crawled over my mesh, and then the super slide ride. That must have been like riding the turtle in Nemo. Anyone else with a crazy crab?

I have 1..in the absence of an anemone, they will live under ric's or other mushrooms..some LPS's or under a rock, they dont come out much, i have the luck of mine living where he can be seen, they are beautiful crabs though..make sure your calcium levels are in check, those type of crabs can have a bit of a problem molting if there isnt enough calcium around, i believe iodine helps with it too..HTH..
P.S there's a pic of mine on my gallery

Mine had a little buyer’s indecision.
He would move between a Rose and a Green BTA for about two weeks until he finally settled on the green. Since then he's stayed put.

yeah, once they find a place to be, they wont move..and..if a clown wants the anemone,he will fight for it lol..but often they lose and move..

i've been meaning to post about these. i've had two, the first, in my old 55, all seemed well for a few months, molted a few times, then suddenly died, the second, in my 120, all seemed well for several months, molted numerous times, then suddenly disappeared. both seemed to like cyclopeze, whenever i would feed, they would eat like pigs. just wondering if it was something i did, or if these things have a naturally short lifespan? my parameters stay well within acceptable ranges, and all other life appears healthy(including other crustaceans). any ideas/suggestions? on a separate note, both crabs took to the same green flower anemone, given their choice of 2 other flowers, and a BTA in the 120.

yah, thats what i mean, you could see him scooping up the cyclopeze with his little strainer thingees. i have little question if he was eating it, i just wonder if it provides the proper nutrition? i usually mix several foods, but it is the cyclopeze that he appeared to be eating.
