i have so many of them....yuck yuck...but they are good from what everyone says...if you found one you few and you just have not seen them yet...rich hancock

If you have a lot of them, that tells me you also have a lot of detritus. They won't reproduce to large numbers without food. Without seeing your tank I would guess that you may have some other problems such as cyanobacteria or elevated nutrients that can lead to other algae blooms. I may be wrong on this but I'm guessing not.

Brad,

I was referring to Rich's situation where he said he has a large amount of bristle worms in his tank.
There is something similar to a bristle worm, but much larger, called a fire worm, that can sting fish. They are often confused. People often freak out over bristle worms. I'm not saying that having a lot of them in your tank is bad in and of itself. I do think it may be an indication of other things that are going on, such as the possibility of over feeding or insufficient current.
