I guess that answers the question about gender :D
Anyway, one of our two appears to be mouthbrooding...he's not eating, although he comes out when we feed, and we can see that he's obviously carrying eggs/young in his mouth. Based on dates it looks like he should spit the babies out somewhere in the 2nd week of March. If I can get him into the quarantine tank first and successfully raise any of the fry to viable age, they'll be available to any who want them.

I'll take a couple babies if you can do it! Good luck!

I'll see if we can get some pics of the male today. He's hiding a lot, which makes it harder...
No guarantees on the babies, of course...I *hope* at least a few will survive, but it's not like I've done this before.

Umm...I hate to ask a question this basic, but how the h*** do I post a pic? Does it need to be in my Gallery first? I can't even get to the "Gallery" link from the main page...it pops up repeated prompts for a username/password and doesn't load images, no matter what credentials I try to use.

Sweet! Chris, please put me down for a few... I'm actually hoping to raise some in my new tank as well!

Also... you may want to PM Troy_Valentine... he's raised Bangaiis before, and may be able to give you some helpful insight into raising them yourself.
HTH! :)

They sell them at Inland Aquatics, but they are fairly pricey, $89.99 for a pair. If someone knows of somewhere else, I too would be interested!
