frogspawn out of water??????? HELP RECOVERY

My frog spawn and hammers were out of the water for around 2 hours recently. How bad is this going to be for them. Obviously I know it is not good, but what do yall think their chances of recovery would be. Also what can I be doing to help this recovery. Should I increase or decrease lighting or water flow? Feed lots or not at all? Do small water changes every day, or not at all? Please let me know what I can do to help salvage the disaster I had. Thanks for all your help.

I would not increase feeding as this will only aggrevate the situation. I would not change the lighting (you want to keep things constant - lots of variances causes additional stress) but if you can make sure there is a "little" water movement, this will help wash away any additional mucus that they might make. Don't do a lot of flow as this will also aggrevate an already stressed coral.

Patience! Patience! Patience!

You can always take a bad situation and make it worse by making rash decisions (doing additional changes) which will only stress the coral out even more.

I'm guessing here but I think they those corals (Euphyllia) may be more tolerant of that sort of mistreatment than some other corals. The polyps surely retracted and could have been kept wet by the moisture trapped inside.

Many corals, and I don't know if these are one of them, have evolved to withstand temporarily being left high and dry during low tides in tropical lagoons. What makes this worse is that we are talking about equatorial areas with the sun beating down on them in addition to the low tide situation.

Things are actually looking better than I expected. The frogspawns, hammers, and torches are extending their tentacles but not all the way out. Should I take this as a sign that they are going to be fine. Maybe they are just a little ****ed off now, and they are going to be back to normal soon. My sps seem to be fine also.

All the corals seem to be doing fine now. My skimmer did pull a larger than normal load of crap out of the tank over the days following the incident. I feel lucky that nothing died.
