I wanted to get some feedback from any of you that may currently have one of these hooked up or have had one in the past.

Thanks,
Jenn

Alex - you are ordering a few? Is the tank that bad? LOL :-) Wish I had known you were ordering them, I would have gotten one as well. Been thinking about getting one for awhile now.

I just turned an old calcium reactor I had into one.
I didnt think the unit would work that great but had all the needed parts to make an awesome phosban reactor.
MJ 200 pumps in the bottom, through 2 screens and flows out the top back into the sump.

Seems to be doing good. Will probably change the media type out soon.

Theyre $35, which is a good deal for what you get. Media runs another 13.99.

how would you hook one of these up to a DAS tank? It's not drilled so we don't have a sump to plumb it to...

It can hang on the tank ... but keep in mind a phosban 150 is rated at and can hold media for up to a 150, hence Phosban 150

What does DAS stand for?

I believe it stands for Dutch Aquarium System which is interestingly enough based in Waxahachie, TX, not Holland.

I also have a DAS with glass bracing that runds completely around the inside of the tank so it may be a little tricky, but pretty sure I can make it work.

Do you have a fuge or sump? It doesnt have to go on/in the tank.

It has a 4-chamber sump/filter area, but one has a pvc pipe fixed into it (dunno what for) and the others have 3 sponge filters. I could remove one of them though. Great idea! Thanks.

BTW, nice avatar Pete.
