Eel gone crazy HELP!!!

My green wolf eel has gone mad, he tore my spider crab into like 10 different pieces. He also will not eat any feeder fish I place in the tank. The only thing he does is gets my snails and throws them around the tank. I do know what to do. The only guess is that it may be matting season for eels, because Awana Pets green wolf just laid eggs? Also how do eel eggs become fertile?

I cant resist :D Do you really need an explanation on fertilization? I mean how it works and all.

I know how the eggs become fertile. The question was do they get it on before the eggs are layed or are the eggs layed and then fertilized?
