I am going to drill my tank for the intake of a Reefflo dart which is 2". What I was wondering is one 2" bulkhead going to good? Any suggestions would be great if this is no good.

Go here:Recommended Minimum Drain / Overflow Size Calculator (http://reefcentral.com/calc/drain.php)
Looks like the minimum drainpipe diameter for 2500 GPH is 2.06 inches, or another way to look at it is that a 2" diameter hole will allow passage of almost 2500 gallons per hour, if it's running at maximum. Does this help?

Thanks again that should do it the pump is rated at 3500gph at 0' head but I have estimated that I will have about 8' of head giving me about 2000-2300gph so that one 2" bulkhead should be plenty of flow to the pump if I am thinking correctly.

I am not saying don't trust that site but, don't trust that site. I have two 1" drains and a 1000gph pump at 0 but I am running it at approx 4-4.5' head and I cannot run it wide open or it will overflow my tank. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the site is wrong but if my overflows cant keep up I am no sure how yours would.

this all on a closed loop manifold so the intake will be drilled and plumbed directly to the pump then out to the manifold. Sorry I should have made that clear at the beginning sorry about that. This might change some things not sure. Anyway sorry for the confusion.
