Found him stuck in my maxi jet. I had the screen on and I think I caught it in time. He was stuck pretty good, and I know he is wounded. Will he recover, or is that all she wrote?

Theres a lot of folks here that have gone through exactly what youre going through, including myself. It really depends on how badly the anemone was injured and what its current condition is. Can you get a pic of it showing the extent of its injuries? Mine survived, others havent been as fortunate.

Hope you can tell from this pic. It doesn't look too bad, but I just didn't know! My clown doesn't seem to mind!

Im gonna say that, judging by those photos, it has an excellent chance of survival. The only problem I see might be the clown molesting the anemone and stressing it further. Keep an eye on it and if the clown jacks with it too much, you may want to either move the clown, move the anem, or,,,,, put some kind of barrier between the anem and the clown like a strawbwrry container or the like, but be prepared for one pi$$ed off clown!

I was trying to help him split! 8) I had heard so much about it, thought I'd give him a hand to see what it looks like! :wacko
Thanks for the comment though 6line! :P

lol, thanks Jim! The clown was going nuts trying to find him when I had positioned him where he's at now. I could only imagine if he see's him, but can't get to it!

I had the same thing happen about a month ago....I immediately did the same thing...posted my concern on Maast! I'm happy to say that mine has fully recovered and he looked way worse than yours in your pic. I think I need to go to a closed loop. My Maxi Jets no only look unsightly but have recently injured my blue linkia star fish....poor thing lost the tip of a leg about two weeks ago but is still kickin'!
Best of luck, I hope he recovers!

Put a PVC pipe on the bottom of the powerhead and drill a bunch of holes in it. This way it won't get suck in too much. You could also use the sponge for your brand PH. I have injured a couple like yours and they did fine. The last one went all the way through the pump and it didn't do so well.
