After months and months of waiting, my new tank is here. CB Pets got it in today and I drove out and picked it up this afternoon.

it is a 115 gallon oceanview cube, 30" to a side.

I am so psyched, but of course, now I have to stare at it until I get the oceans motions, sump, fuge, and return pumps up and going.

LOL, waiting all these months and you aren't ready for it? I'd be working over night till I had water in the tank! LOL :w00t

What type of OceanMotions are you going with? I'm still debating on buying one, especially as they just redid them and increased the pricing.

lol.. waiting all these months as I save up the money and the wife says... "Umm we need that money for this or that".

I have the wood in the garage to build the stand, will start on that tomorrow.

Next purchase will be a chiller, I think even though I have the opportunity to buy a used one, I am going to buy new, i want the peace of mind of getting a warranty.

Then the oceans motions Heavy Duty 4 way w/ mag drive, and going to put 4 oceans motions revolutions on it as well.

In the midst of all this, when the stand is finished I need to have Dan over to look it over so we can design and have him build the sump. I may buy my new pumps before then as well to make sure everything fits.

Lighting will be the last thing to go up, I'll be running water tests and all that jazz long before i am ready to light it up... and it will take a while, I am expecting the tank to be up and running around june... slow and steady wins the race.

Thanks guys,

Will definatley do a reef central style thread on the tanks construction, but if I were to start now, updates would be few and far between. I will probably construct the stand, have dan fabricate the sump, and get things to the point where I have the equipement and will start posting the thread there, more of an instant gratification thing for those following the thread. :)

List of things to buy:

Sump from Dan
3 Media Reactors from Alex
2 Sequence Reef Darts
oceans motions 4 way heavy duty mag
Chiller
T-5 Teklight
2 250 watt coralvue MH systems (electronic ballast)

thats not counting the little stuff, like power bars (going to get some nice ones with a switch for every plug), PVC, fittings, so on and so forth...

If I can get my wife to sign off, I will be building a entertainment center at the same time, and my fuge will be a recycled 55 gallon show tank (acrylic (seaclear I think) sitting above all my expensive electronics. :) lol... not sure about the wisdom in that.... oh well. :) ))

Skimmer is going to have to be my remora pro for a while, after I get the tank up and running I will look at upgrading to something monstrous.

yup, it's going to be fun to say the least, one thing I am grateful for, is a friend that used to deliver lumber for MCcoys, he still get's an employee discount, so that oak I want to buy shouldn't hurt 'as much'.
