Has anybody mounted frags on the back side of ceramic tile before? I put this piece under my drooping Caulastrea and the tile is bubbling. I don't know if it's a chemical reaction of just air trapped in the tile that's coming off.

Does anybody expect any ph problems?

My husband and I were in Lowe's the other day and he suggested the same thing. We have not tried this yet, but I would think its just the pourus makeup of the tile. Please continue to update this for us. Thanks.

BTW, that is so bizarre looking how its dropping!

I dont believe its a problem..that type of tile is often used for clown spawning purposes, I wouldnt be worried about it changing your water chemestry..

if you wanted to play it safe you might soak the tiles in some salt water for awhile before placing in your tank.

My wife had an interesting idea for mounting frags. Take a piece of Tonga branch LR and cut it into plugs using a dremel tool or hacksaw. This would produce a plug that could be placed into holes in the LR.

It sure would look better than the floral water pics I am currently using.
