hmmm It doesn't look like your sand bed has reached any cycle point or anything like that? no snails or anything? maybe some of those for movement and such ??? but the thank is amazing...

the tank is plumed into my display tank. so there is not realy a need to cycle. it's is basicly cycled after a few weeks of flowing. the clam tank has tons of pods and what not in it. i do hace a sea cucumber to move the sand.

In reference to the previous comments about cycling:
Clams actually remove nitrates. Some coral farm systems use clam raceways as part of their treatment system.

Yeah, if that tank is connected to your display tank..the water must be inmaculate..lol

Sun corals don't care about light - they're not a low light coral. They're a "I don't care about light" coral. :D

Nice tank - imagine having to keep your top pane free of algae. :D

Also, clams can usually survive a cycle. I read somewhere they actually "eat" ammonia! :o

thanks everyone. everything is doing great. check the chemistry this morning and my pH is a bit low but everything else is in check. my main worry is about Ca levels with all the clams. i've been dripping extra Kalk. to get it up at it's reading 460.. i hope i can keep it at that level for a nother week so i can get the Ca reactor up and running.
thanks again.
and i'll consider submitting for TOTM
