I am going to be transfering everything(LR, LS, corals, fish) from my 37g to my new 30g cube. My existng setup has flatworms real bad. I have the FlatWorm Exit and am going to use it somewhere in the transfer process. I have several questions though

1)How should I handle moving all the live sand. Am I going to screw anything up by moving the live sand, or should I just get some new sand and start fresh.

2) my old tank has 2 65watt PCs, and the new tank has a 250w metal halide, can I just make the jump and decrease the amount of time I leave them on?

Any advice on how I should make the transition would be greatly appreciated.

1.-..you could put all the sand in buckets..get rid of any sand critters you think are too big..by that i mean give them to someone with a fuge..use the sand you have..

2.-you can start with a few hours a day of MHs..so your corals can get used to them..then increase them..

hope this helps
