I was just curious if anyone has tried using the new coral food that DT's is selling. Its frozen oyster eggs. Mark and Richard are really high on them. I picked up some yesterday.

If you could give me some details on how you are feeding them I would appreciate it. I couldn't find any info on them on the DTs website. CB Pets had a great brochure on them including a recommendation by Borneman but I forget to grab it.

I am currently feeding cyclopeeze, frozen baby brine, and frozen rotifers, mainly at night. I'd like to hear some of the other SPS reefers feeding strategies and their logic behind them. If you have any good links I would like to add them to the library project as well.

CB Pets is the only LFS I know of that is carrying it in the SA area.

Texas Tropical may be carrying it too.

Was it expensive ... or moderately priced?

I can't reall. It seems like they were about $15. Borneman recommends using 1 ml. per 50 gal. so a little bit goes a long ways.

More like $25, I think. I decided I had to wait until Blair was not with me to buy some...

I bought several things so I didn't notice the price.

Misti, you need to tell Blair that you have a boyfriend so that you'll have an excuse to sneak off to the LFS without him. I think Georgann would prefer that I have a girlfriend than the time I spend at the LFS.

Gary did you see the flyers and get some out?

Have you used the oyster eggs yet?

Pete,

There is a flyer at CB Pets now. I had one with me when I went yesterday. Its posted at the cash register. Unfortunately its one that you did before we did the edit. If someone is going up that way, we might want to take them the new version. Mark said he thought he might make it to the meeting.

I just got the eggs last night. I'll probably feed with them this weekend.

Just a little clarification. The price on the eggs at CB Pets is $19.99. Everyone else is charging $25. With the MAAST discount that brings them down to $18.

I just bought some at Austin Aquariums, I think I paid $15 for them.
We'll have to see who they work out, jury is still out.
