I picked this up at River City Aquatics today. One of the coolest pieces of rock I have seen. I walked in and my eyes went straight to this piece. He has a bunch more cool pieces there. I might be buying a few more Friday night.

VERY cool. I dropped by today and Carlos had a bunch of clams also... $50 for 4-6 inch clams Crocea, max, and derasa.... I almost bought a bubble tip with bright pink and purple tips, the base was green, too tempting. If I had more room I'd have it right now.

Well Tim - you could always get another tank! :-D
Just think of all the neat stuff you could get to fill it up. ;)

Mike - That *is* a cool shaped rock! How big is it? Hard to tell by the pic.

He definately has cool sruff in there right now. Those clams were real nice..... almost a spontanious purchase, but I was able to restrain myself. I will wait until after the upgrade.

Its in an 18 gallon tub in that pic, and it takes up most of the bottom of it.

I am guessing you will use it as a shelf, that will be really nice to keep corals separated on each clover! Nice score! Carlos just picked up another 50 lbs of this rock for the big sale this weekend, and he can get as much of this rock as you guys need with very little notice! ;-)

Well it was going into my FOWLR. Are you talking about placing it vertically between 2 pieces of rock, or horizantally? I was planning on sticking it where that is what you would see, in the corner of my tank right in front of the monster prefilter for one of my powerheads.

I would place it horizontally and use a different piece to hide the filter. He has some nice thin, wide, flat pieces that will cover the back wall and filters if you need that.

Hmm.... maybe I can make an over hang with it. I will have to see what I have to work with when I get the rest of my rock.

Where exactly off 183 north is this place? I drove up there looking for it a few weeks back and must have missed it.

Mike, take the Anderson Mill exit and get over to the right hand lane. When you come up to an Enterprose rent-a-car you want to turn right. Enterprise is on the corner of 183 and Roxie drive.... So take onto Roxie Dr. and take an imediate left into the little strip center behind the enterprise. River City is the last store front all the way down on the end.

I sure do hope they are not too far from where we are having the meeting - I would love to stop by there.

Nice shaped rock. You will be able to do lots with it.

Dang, ask like $50k for it!!!!! Dumb, dumb people out there....

Is RCA near this YMCA place? Like how far in miles/minutes. I know that they are not the same in Austin.

Jenn, RCA is about 3-4 miles south of where the meeting is at. Take 35 to 183N, then follow the directions I gave Mike P. When you are done at RCA get back on 183N and go about 4 miles to the meeting. Dont have to go out of your way at all, just get off the highway for a minute.
