Hi,
Can you guys tell me the best way to frag mushrooms? A couple of members have told me to cut them at the base and lay them in my substrate until the base heals then glue them to rock. I have also read that I can use the same procedure but, I can cut the mushroom into multiple pieces or "pizza slices" and can get a few mushrooms from the one original

Basically if its not a ricordia, just slice it up and either lay it in a spot with good lights and very low flow, so it doesnt blow away. You can also try to rubberband it to a rock or use bridal veil to wrap it onto a small pies of rock.
If you are fragging a ric., you will need to get part of the mouth on the cut and try to stick to only 1/2 or 1/4 cuts at the most.

I used to wait til they fell off the rock they were on, and just stuck singles on particular rocks until I had 5-10 on a rock to give to a friend. If you can keep them there (like what was said about not blowing off) then they will attach on there own in roughly a day or so IME!

You sure you have to get the mouth on the ricordia?

It's going to be hard to glue mushroom to rock. Get some bridal veil netting to wrap the mushroom over the rock. If you're patient the mushroom will detach and move around and propagate by themselves.
