I have no idea what kind of leopard wrasse this is. I was only able to find one picture of it on the internet and it is better than any of the ones I took of mine b/c he is too fast. I'd really like to know what he is just out of curiosity.
Thanks
Christina

Christina,

Where did you get it? I've never been able to keep one alive.

From a friend who decided to get out of the hobby. I would not have gotten such a difficult keep except for it was already eating pellets. It actually got my Christmas Wrasse eating pellets too. I alternate between different kinds of pellets, and enriched brine and mysid, to make sure it gets adequate nutrition I feed at least 4 times a day...basically every time I walk by the tank I drop in a few pellets.

I've been trying to research this species and it is hard to find info on it, or a site that actually sells them.

I have had my leopard a little over a year now. Purchased him from Aquatek - make sure you inspect the fish for mouth damage. Leopard wrasses have deliacte mouths and often damaged during transport. Mine was eating at the store and he's eating pellet, frozen and anything else in the tank.
