Ok, moved the bubble tip into the new tank today, and as suggested, I gently worked my fingers around his base, over the course of 15 minutes my little massage caused him to tighten up his foot until he finally gave way. I got him in a bag, moved him to the new tank, floated and drip acclimated. When I got him out of the bag, he didn't have a neutral bouyancy like he has had before, now he floats.

I looked real close and I can see bubbles in his body, I am shocked becuase as far as I can tell, I didn't expose him to air, is this a sign that I injured him? I didn't want him floating around in the tank and bouncinf off walls so I put him in a calm spot under some egg crate his bouyancy kept him there, he now seems to be attatching to the egg crate slowly, and he's opened up and happier than I have seen him in weeks (in the old overheated tank)

I guess there is really nothing I can do but wait and see if he pulls through.
