Hey guys, since I am in the process of moving my stock from the overheated 30 to the big 115. Since that tank is so much taller than the previous tank, I had to make a 'frag rack' to hold the corals closer to my currently puny light source.

I used 3/4 inch PVC to make a two tiered rack, one is 6 inches below the water's surface, the other is about 16 inches below the surface. I cut egg crate and zip-tied it to the PVC to put the frags on. Midway through constructing all this, I thought, man this would be great if I could move water around in it, so I plumed the 1" line on the closed loop into it, (It T's off before that, 1 side to the SCWD, the other to the 'rack') and I drilled about 50 holes all over at odd angles, since it's a bare bottom tank, I did some holes to blow water across the bottom glass, everything else is just random drilling. I put my hand in after turning it on and can feel all these little tiny jets moving the water around, and the SCWD gives it that extra OOMPH to randomize it and remove the 'laminar' qualities of the setup.

have any of you guys ever done this? I will throw pics up, hopefully tomorrow when I get the lights up over the setup.

probably won't have pics up until everything is in tomorrow... but it isn't 'all that'... not even sure how well it will work.
