the wife and i are going to change my 125 fresh to a reef tank..i want to do a sump system..like my 55..but i dont know much about them...i have plenty of skimmer but dont know what size sump to use or what to put in it. i have a 29 gal tank,,can i use it. or is that to small....can someone show me a few pics of what they got...i think that will help....thz..... :confused:

Hey I have a 125 that I just turning into a SW tank. I have a 55 tank as the sump/fuge. I just posted pics on the "Viewable/both sides" thread. If you'd like to see the sump I can post a pic of that too. I'm still in the process of plumbing.

Just make sure you have never used copper in your 125. It can sometimes hide in the silicon seals and leach back into a SW tank. Copper is sometimes used as a medication or algae control in FW systems.

I would recommend looking into either a combination sump/refugium, or a seperate fuge and sump. I have a 30 gal. refugium and 30 gal. sump under my 125.
