Looks a lot like the Florida aragonite rock. How much is a 60lb box? Its been from $1 to $1.50/lb from Florida. Most of the Fl stuff is smaller pieces though. Price with shipping??

Looks pretty cool, but they don't have any pics of established tufa with coraline or anything. Can it grow on this and eventually look natural?

It consist of calcium carbonate I would think it would be a very nice foundation. Something I was going to try & get a few pieces of to find out.

TUFA is great stuff. I've used it before when I first got into the hobby and LR prices were a lot higher than they are now. I was going to school and working on a very limited budget. It colonizes very quickly because it is so porous. Its is extremely porous. It almost floats.
Fintique used to carry it. I'm not sure if they still do, I haven't look for it in a while. If I was going to use "dead rock" as an alternative to LR it would be what I would use. It also has the advantage of being fairly soft and you can use something like a dremel to shape it fairly easily to create caves and arches.

I ordered a 60lb box of the HI rock and reefbones in comparision is better. Reefbones is lighter and seems to be more porus. Which, is a good thing when you want to cultivate it as hi rock. Of course this IMO is ther better of the two.

The florida stuff I have is petrified coral. It is not bad as a base but is not as porous as something like reefbones. I actually would like to get rid of it as it is not as popular as Reef Bones, Reef Rock, and Look Alive Rock. If your interested, it is on sale 1/2 price ($0.75/lb).
