I'm thinking of buying an acrylic tank for my next setup and I wanted to get some input on where the best places to shop for acrylic tanks are. I'm also seeing if Dan can make me one but in the mean time I just wanted to look around online. Anybody know of a good place to purchase? Thanks

Ask Dan where he buys his from. He will not do large tanks. or even display tanks of any size, I think.

Dan had his custom made at the LFS in Corpus.

I purchased my acrylic aquarium through Tenecor.com. I have been very happy with it.

Petco sells arcylic tanks. They can special order larger sizes as well that they don't carry in stock.

I was going to see if Dan would do a 36" x 22" x 22" Not really that big but maybe to tall or wide for him to want to mess with. I guess I will try tenecor.com. Acrylic tanks are expensive, bummer.

$349 for a 70gal reef-ready acrylic tank? As long as it's a quality unit, that sounds cheap to me. But I've never bought acrylic, so don't listen to me :P

Actually you have to ad $69.00 dollars S&H which comes out to approx $420 dollars for a 70 gallon tank. Then you have to add stand, canopy, sump, ouch - that is going to get expensive for a failrly small tank. I really like arcylic tanks but can't afford them.

I've seen glass tanks in the same size range at $349 or above...that still doesn't seem like a bad price to me. Of course, you definitely do have to add in everything else, but hey, this hobby is expensive, as all our spouses never fail to remind us :P

www.glasscages.com has very cheap acrylic tanks. The bottoms are re-inforced with extra strips of acrylic though so they're ugly if you don't use a sandbed or something to cover it.

WOW!!!!! i didnt know they made acyrlic tanks. should have checked with them before i ordered mine. to late now. i allready have mine
