I need to reseal a tank and was just wondering where is the cheapest place to buy the right silicone at. I was thinking home depot or lowes might have it but I'm not sure.

Chip, the stuff that comes in the aquarium sealant is the same as the GE Silicone 1, if you want mroe control (and more of it for less) buy it in a caulk gun tube.

Right 100% silicone is what you are looking for with no additives for mold ect.....

If you look on the package, there should be a statment that says "For Aquarium Use" or "Safe for Aquariums" which means they have not added anything to the silicone.

or, conversely, ones that are not suitable (GE Silicone 2) will say "not for aquarium use"
