Just thinking of adding a system to my tank and was wondering if anyone here has any good or bad experiences to share.

And secondly who sells the system

Check out his thread. It has a lot of good info and many links to requested information.

LOL - Just look through the Zeovit Guide ...

http://www.captiveoceans.com/ZEOvit%20Guide1.pdf

IMO the jury is not out on this one. It's pretty confusing but this is how I understand it....

Buy and use:
Zeovit
ZeoBak
ZeoFood
ZeoStart
Potasium Iodide/flouride concentrate
Iron concentrate
ZeoSpur Macroelements concentrate
Pocci-stylo-grow
Amino acid High concentrate
Amino Acid Concentrate LPS
ZeoSpur2

Why do this? From their guide...
"The purpose of this system is to create a low nutrient environment. To reduce the measurable level of nitrate (NO3) and phosphate (PO4)..."

SOUNDS AWESOME!!! But from the guide, in order for this system to work you must...
1.) Use carbon. Replace every 30 days
2.) Use efficient skimming.
3.) Limit nutrient addition. RO/DI water, don't overfeed.
4.) Provide optimum water parameters (Ca, Mg, KH, salinity)
5.) Perform weekly 5% water changes. 10% for heavily stocked systems.

Hmmm...I bet it works great. LOL

BTW - I have an ecoaqualizer that will do the same thing and I will sell it CHEAP! www.ecoaqualizer.com

So from that I take it if you keep your water parameters optimal and then add this confusing assortment of chemicals to your tank you will end up with optimal water parameters? Minus all the chemicals you just added to the tank of course, lol.

No, you may have perfect water and then make a mess by adding all the garbage.

Richard, you kept your ecoaqualizer? LMAO, that is too funny. I sent back the ones I had right before the warranty ran out. They did give me a full refund though, I'll give them that.

Tim, I like keeping it around as a reminder that there is no magic bullet. Otherwise I might be setting up a ZeoVit system LOL. Pretty cool they gave you a full refund though.

Richard, how about nailing that sucker to a plack and hanging it above the register with a 'There is no Silver Bullet in Aquariums except MAINTENANCE' sign. While your at it, you can also politely request that no one use the names Nemo, Dory, and Marlin in your store, you know, for bobby's health.
