I'm thinking about getting a flower anemone from Reeftopia. I have the general impression that these are hardier than many anemones, but don't really know. I believe these are Epicystis crucifer...does anyone have any experience with them?

I have 2 in my tank and both are from Reeftopia, one is green and the other orange. I would say they are hardier and they usually dont move around unless uncomfortable.

i also have 2 in my mixed reef. they pretty much seem to find a spot they like, and stay put.

I had one in a 55, loved it but clown did not host. I later moved it to my our 55, still love it but clown does not host in it. Beautiful, hardy, stable, green center, going into orange then back to pale green on the tips. Point I'm making is love it for its beauty not as a possible clown host. TR, Shirley

I've had one for years. Green with a hot pink mouth. Give it a hole where it can dig in between some rubble on the bottom up against the rocks where there is full light and where current will sweap into it and it will stay put. Mine has been in the same hole for a couple years. Their sting is quite potent and they are not a clown hoster. I've seen them up high on rocks too and they really seem to stay put pretty well. The downside would be if they are not given their spot and wander to find it, they could do some damage to sps.

I have 2 in mine and they are very hardy, don't need a massive amount of light, and like evryone else says they tend to stay put. mine are on rocks and i can move the rock where ever I want. Although it tends to dictate how I place the rock!
Go for it & enjoy!
