Tough question - my first reaction would be DON'T!

Otherwise:
Any air supply hoses (Skimmer, etc.) run them outside to pull in fresh air
If you don't have existing airation, add an airstone to your sump with a fresh air supply
Cover the tank and any other surface water areas as air tightly as possible
Bag up anything you may someday put in the tank (nets, etc.)

Even with all this, I would expect some of the airborne stuff will get in your tank, and could have a mild to drastic effect? This is a new problem for me?????

Oh yea, start running LOTS of charcoal before you start and at least 1-2 days afterwards!!!

I just got done fumigating the house for fleas.
I got a plastic drop sheet used for covering furniture when painting (89cents @ Big Lots).

First I turned off everything to the tank (just turned off the power strips).
Then I covered the tank and everything for it (housed in the stand) with the plastic sheet, all the way down to the floor Then placed some things on the sheet to keep it from moving (I did not seal the sheet to the floor w/ tape).

Bombed the house, and returned two hours later. I aired the house for 1 hour before removing the sheet and turning everything back on.

The tank didn't seem to like the lack of circulation, but everything was happy again within 30min of turning everything back on. :-D

There may be better/safter ways to do it, but this worked out pretty well for me. I have mushrooms, zoos, leathers, GSP, zena, brains, & anemones in the tank and all did just fine.

Hope that helps.

You should see how fast we are when there are frags offered as motivation. Can you say "feeding frenzy" boys and girls?
