These are a few pics of my tank. Can anyone tell me how to take out some of the blue?


This is a 20g high with a penguin biowheel filter and 175w 20k XM, and has been up and runnin for 1 year in Jan.

Take out the blue? Turn off the 20K. If you're shining a blue light on something you are going to get blue pics.

What Gary Said, you could also try running them through a color balancing in Photoshop of Photo Editor... but I don't think much will come out of it...

Question: Do you want the blue out of just the photographs or do you want the tank to not look so blue when you are viewing it?

If you want the blue out of the photographs, you can try using a colored filter (if your camera will take adaptors - there will be a series of threads in front of the lens where you can screw in filters - most lower end digital cameras will not have this feature) to take out a lot of the blue. Or use a 10K bulb when you are photographing and use the 20K the rest of the time.

If you are wanting to not see so much blue when you are viewing the tank, then either replace the 20K light with a 10K light or add a 10K to the 20K.

Just set the white balance on your camera....problem solved...

I want to take the blue out of the pictures. I still have some learnin to do with this camera. White balance eh.. Ill try it. Thanks
